Our story
Our founder, Katie Aung, is the mother to three beautiful children, including one AUsome son, Gavin.
Gavin was 18-months-old when Katie and her husband discovered they were all about to embark on their Autism journey. Like many, they brushed off the symptoms and signs of Autism with deep hopes and prayers that they would go away and he would develop into a normal boy like the others his age. Deep down they felt terrified, hopeless, and isolated.

However, through the power of prayer, Katie and her husband embraced Gavin's Autism journey. Some days were great, some were very difficult, but through their journey they have come to realize that they have a truly genius, happy, loving, and AUsome son.
Why agff?
We know first hand of how difficult and challenging Autism can be for children and their families. We understand the struggles, ups and downs, tantrums, sleepless nights, and the hardships of getting treatments. The AUsome Gavin and Friends Foundation has made it their mission to find the families who feel hopeless and isolated; we understand your struggles and you're not alone.
what do we do?
We help to educate and inform families about Autism, giving them the knowledge to embark on their own personal journey. We provide education and guidance on biomedical treatments and share our personal journey that has helped Gavin and our family.

We also help to unburden families with the cost of treatments for Autism by helping cover the costs of needed treatments or guiding families to reliable resources.
